Wising up with age!

Although I hoped The Postman Always Rings Twice, shown on Turner Classic Movies recently, would give me the same thrill as when I first saw it more than seventy(!) years ago,

This time the story of two young impassioned lovers planning to murder her old and irritating husband left me cold. In fact, I wondered how anyone could dislike such a charming and interesting old man.
