Now that the local trails and the Rose Bowl loop are open, visitors might wonder what’s allowed and what’s not.

Here are the guidelines:
- Physical distancing
Provide at least six feet of space at all times. - Wear a mask
Wear a face covering, even when exercising, and be sure your airflow is not restricted. - Household members only
Gather only with members of the same household. - Be alert
Alert one another when passing by and allow room to safely pass. - Collect your trash
Visitors must take their trash with them when they leave to protect other trail and loop users, staff and wildlife.
Staff will be positioned along the loop and at trailheads to make sure users are abiding by the guidelines listed above.
Time and restrictions
The Rose Bowl loop will be open from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists, with parking available in Lot I. Parking is limited to 90 minutes and will be strictly enforced.
The Rose Bowl loop is closed to vehicular traffic, except for vehicles accessing the COVID-19 testing site and Brookside Golf Course. These vehicles will be guided through by traffic monitors.
Other recreational amenities, including tennis courts, pickleball courts, and community gardens, will also reopen with provisions in place to ensure public safety.

What if you have health issues that prevent you from wearing a face cover while exercising? You don’t want to walk, you just want to do jumping jacks on the grass – you live in an apartment? We’re not talking about entering a private property like a store where you CAN be required to mask up. We’re talking every city residents property.
