On Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, a group of enthusiastic voters set up a Trump display in front of the Rite Aid at Mission and Fair Oaks.

      By Margaret Prietto

Posters said “4 more years.” One man carried a “Veterans for Trump” sign. Across the street at the Starbucks and Chipotle outdoor patios other voters carried “Biden-Harris” and “Black Lives Matter” signs.

Passing motorists honked and shouted support or disapproval.  All persons stayed on their sidewalks, shouted at one another, waved their signs vigorously, and expressed their opinions on the election.  Everyone stayed out of the street.

There was no police presence. Two young people shared their concerns as they departed the scene. One young man said, “I don’t want any fascist signs in my town.  I’ve lived here all my life and I wish I could vote.” A resident asked him, “How long have you lived here?”  He said, “All of my 13 years.” The resident replied, “South Pasadenans don’t like to be told what to do especially after six decades of fighting the 710 Freeway.  They like to decide for themselves.  I’ve lived here since 1973 and I do not recall an election with such inflammatory actions.”

There were no incidents until 6:00 pm. South Pasadena police responded to verify that an altercation occurred and took witnesses statements. The case will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for possible criminal filing.

SPPD failed to protect South Pasadenans. They treated us like we were the enemies. One cop told a mom to get the eff away from him. The interlopers brought to our city by Matt Bryant and Pasadena Republican Club. Help us find this thug who hurt one of our South Pas youth.

It was horrible and intimidating and confrontational. My spirit was disturbed because of what and who #3 is. I will NEVER be comfortable with any of the Liars and criminals in Washington DC and their followers that believe wrong is right and right is wrong.

I was there. During the time I was there, the Trump supporters were happy, honking and waving. There were some Biden supporters that pulled up in their cars and yelled and cursed at us, including a girl in a wheelchair with me. Another lady pulled over and gave the girl in the wheelchair the finger.
Overall, it was a happy, touching exciting day, with people parading to show their love and support for President Trump.

Biden supporters and Trump opponents expressed their views at that intersection, which is just fine. Then Trump supporters expressed their views at that intersection, which is just fine. The moral panic over “fascist signs” is overwrought nonsense, and typical of the four-year tantrum the country has endured from leftist toddlers.

They finally packed up and left well beyond their allotted ordinance time after assaulting and dragging 16 year old girl by her hair. They’re bullying and intimidation are disgusting. Many people called the police who did nothing and let the attackers go.

We went hiking up near Idyllwild on Sunday and saw swarms of Trump supporters as well. What I don’t understand is why those Pasadena supporters came here instead of staying in Pasadena?
