The last day of business at the Hastings Ranch location will be May 12th, 2024.

In January, 2024, Vroman’s Chairman, Joel Sheldon, announced his intention to retire from ownership of Vroman’s and Book Soup.
At the time of that announcement, the company had been in lease negotiations for their Hastings Ranch Vroman’s location (3729 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena). Unable to reach an agreement with the property owner, Vroman’s announced the Hastings Ranch closure on Wednesday, March 27.
The last day of business at the Hastings Ranch location will be May 12th, 2024. In a statement on their social media, the company assured its customers that the Colorado Boulevard location is “secure and the search for the right new ownership continues.”
Beyond broken-hearted as this has always been my go to location my whole life as a staple of the neighborhood, and I very rarely if ever visit the original location on the west side of town, especially due with all the parking/development issues…! 😭
Bad decision on the part of the Landlord to not wait & see, as losing potential customer sales in the area as a result.
