Just after 1:00 am on July 8, 2023, a two-alarm fire ripped through the University Club of Pasadena.

The University Club, 175 N. Oakland, suffered significant damage according to Pasadena Fire Department. The cause is under investigation.

The main damage appeared to be in the kitchen area. No injuries were reported as of publication time.

The University Club of Pasadena has served as a center for professional, academic, and social life in the community since 1922.
