UbuCon is back again at the SoCal Linux Expo (SCaLE) to celebrate all things Ubuntu, the world’s leading open source desktop operating system.
This two-day event features a wide range of presentations including multimedia production, security, development, and more.
Nathan Haines, UbuCon founder and co-organizer, said:
This year’s UbuCon at SCaLE offers something for everyone interested in learning more about Ubuntu, from sysadmins to newcomers just starting out with the platform.
UbuCon at SCaLE is part of a global network of events focusing on the Ubuntu operating system, with other UbuCons happening in Europe, South America, and on the US East Coast throughout the year.
SCaLE is the largest community-run open-source and Free Software conference in North America. It is held annually in Pasadena.
Jono Bacon, Community Strategy Consultant and former Ubuntu Community Manager, said:
UbuCon is an important component in the Ubuntu landscape. Consistently, UbuCons bring together strong content, passionate and engaging community members, and important conversations that continue to grow and evolve the Ubuntu platform and community. Well recommended.
UbuCon and SCaLE take place at the Pasadena Convention Center, in downtown Pasadena. As a part of the SoCal Linux Expo, admission to UbuCon is included with SCaLE registration.
UbuCon at SCaLE runs Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9. SCaLE runs from March 8 through March 11.
