Music and Theater Explore Life with a Stutter in the Premiere of Tyler Eschendal’s Solo Show ACTIONS.
By News Desk
ACTIONS is a set of five interconnected movements that explore the musicality of speech and communication, redefine fluency, and offer a powerful look at what it’s like to live with a stutter. Each movement presents a different verbal or physical action—Arguing, Acting, Singing, Ordering, and Explaining—framing the experience through percussion performances, theatrical monologues, and singing, while drawing attention to the realities of stuttering and other neurodiversities.
Tyler Eschendal, like an estimated three million Americans, is a person who stutters. The performance includes strong language and is recommended for ages 13 and older.
