The American press is praising the Paris Olympics. The Washington Post says that “the sites are trying to steal the show, making French architecture the competition of all competitions.” For American Vogue it is “an architectural symphony,” and NBC (TV broadcaster of the Olympic Games for the USA) expresses its joy every day to be in Paris. The presenters also effusively express their happiness to have behind them, live, the Eiffel Tower. They also rave about the taste of croissants, the backstage of the Dior brand, the markets in Paris, the Château de Versailles.…
The Eiffel Tower is the backdrop for the CNN TV Paris studio in the rue Kléber (16th arrondissement of Paris). Almost all the Olympic Games take place in the heart of the capital in emblematic and historic places.
Closing Ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games
Hollywood stars have been in Paris since the start of the Paris Olympic Games. Persistent rumors from behind the scenes suggest that one star in particular will participate in the Closing Ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games in the Stade de France. Some sequences were reportedly filmed in California earlier this year. In the streets of Paris, a sequence filmed in April 2024 shows Tom Cruise riding a motorcycle at full speed carrying a white flag. But why would Tom Cruise be in Paris, exactly? To bring the Olympic flag from Paris to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games. The Mission Impossible and Top Gun actor will apparently play a major role in the closing ceremonies August 11, 2024, in just a few days. It will obviously be broadcast around the world.
Paris remembers Tom Cruise filming in the streets, in the air and on the Seine. In 2018, Parisians were rushing to see behind-the-scenes filming of this Hollywood actor in the heart of the City of Lights, filming « Mission Impossible—Fallout, » which lasted 36 days in Paris.
He received the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres medal a few days ago in France, on July 29, 2024. Cruise carried the Olympic torch in 2004 before the start of the Athens Olympic Games.
What will be Tom Cruise’s role at the Olympic soccer events at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in 2028?
