In Alhambra, an estimated 500 demonstrators assembled at Alhambra Park, while nearby Sierra Madre saw its largest-ever public gathering, with about 1,000 people filling Kersting Court and surrounding sidewalks. Both Rep. Judy Chu and State Sen. Sasha Renée Pérez addressed attendees before heading to Pasadena City Hall, where more than 3,000 people converged in Centennial Square and along Colorado Boulevard. They joined Pasadena Mayor, Victor Gordo, in greeting the crowd and underscoring the event’s civic purpose
Reports from all three cities described energetic yet peaceful crowds committed to lawful civic engagement.
“The nationwide mobilization is in response to the Felon’s administration sending militarized agents into our communities, disappearing immigrants, and keeping the government shut down while families struggle,” said Colby, a Pasadena resident attending the rally. His comments reflected widespread concerns over threats to healthcare, civil liberties, immigrant rights, and community safety.
