The Silly Season is defined as a period marked by frivolous, self-serving activity or behavior.

You thought the political season about to be over, since the next Presidential election is November 2024.
However, the Political Silly Season is beginning. It is a time when politicians are either termed out, or realize that an opening will soon appear and they need to find another spot at the trough.
How do you know that the Silly Season has begun? Incumbents put forth legislation that sounds worthwhile and has words in the title that evoke concern: homelessness, guns, firearms, voting rights, democracy, older adults, and children.
