Two teenagers were found in a steep embankment, and one girl, reportedly suffering from an overdose, remained trapped about 100 feet below. The rescue, along with a helicopter, attracted heavy freeway traffic.
The first responders worked swiftly, coordinating with technical rescue teams. A helicopter lowered a firefighter carefully and the teens were safely lifted to the surface. The girl was transported to Huntington Hospital. Her condition was not available at time of reporting.
With both teenagers now safe, the area began to clear, though traffic snarls would linger as news of the rescue spread. The operation was a success—thanks to the fast thinking and expertise of the rescue teams.
