A brief vehicle pursuit early on October 15 led to the arrest of a 31-year-old Los Angeles man, identified as John Nabors, following a high-risk traffic stop in Los Angeles.

At approximately 1:45 am, the South Pasadena Police Department received an alert from its Automated License Plate Reader system, notifying officers that a vehicle reported stolen from Pasadena had been detected in the area. Officers quickly located the stolen vehicle and followed it into Los Angeles, where additional units were dispatched to safely execute a high-risk stop.
The driver, however, failed to yield to police orders, prompting a short pursuit. The chase lasted about 30 seconds before the suspect crashed into a hillside while attempting a turn, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
The driver, the only occupant, exited the vehicle and was apprehended without further incident. Nabors was uninjured during the arrest. Upon identification, officers learned that he had two active felony warrants issued by the Alhambra Police Department. He was taken into custody on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading, and the outstanding warrants.
Nabors was transported to Pasadena City Jail for booking.
