On the morning of July 1, 2025, a woman was transported to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena with an arm injury, which authorities initially believed to be consistent with a bullet graze.

The female, whose identity has not been released, reportedly told officials that the injury occurred at her residence on the 800 block of Adelaine Avenue in South Pasadena and involved a male acquaintance.
The South Pasadena Police Department responded to the scene, where detectives began their investigation. Upon arriving at the residence, officers discovered evidence suggesting that a firearm had been discharged inside the home. This led to the swift issuance and execution of a search warrant, resulting in the recovery of a firearm and other items of evidentiary value.
Following the discovery of the firearm and additional investigation, the female victim provided a statement that no one else was involved in the incident. Based on this new information, authorities arrested 33-year-old Jamie Sinclaire of South Pasadena for discharging a firearm inside a dwelling. Sinclaire was taken into custody and booked at the Pasadena City Jail.
The South Pasadena Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discharge. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
