At approximately 5:52 pm on November 11, 2025, a test alert message was mistakenly sent to mobile devices across Los Angeles County.
South Pasadena Public Safety staff were conducting a routine test of the City’s emergency alert software when the message was unintentionally transmitted to the public. The alert was meant to remain within the test system.
City staff are investigating the cause of the error and have issued an apology for the mistake and any confusion it caused.
