On Wednesday, February 22, 2024, at 12:01 am, the South Pasadena Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call received from an eyewitness, reporting a burglary at a business located in the 1000 block of El Centro Street.

Upon arrival, a Police Officer observed two male subjects standing in front of the business adjacent to a shattered window. One subject immediately ran from the scene, while the other surrendered to the officer.
Additional officers arrived to assist and conducted a thorough search, resulting in the location of the second subject approximately one block away. Despite attempts to evade officers, the second subject was successfully taken into custody a few minutes later.
Both subjects, aged fourteen and seventeen and residents of South Pasadena, were arrested and charged with Commercial Burglary. The juveniles were transported to the Alhambra City Jail, where they were booked and subsequently released to the custody of their parents.
