On Thursday morning, February 27, 2025, the South Pasadena Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a medical emergency in the 600 block of Stoney Drive at approximately 10:00 am.

The call was immediately transferred to the Verdugo Fire Communications Center, which prompted the dispatch of paramedics and fire personnel.
Responding teams performed life-saving measures, but the male adult did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene. In accordance with protocol, paramedics requested officers to respond and assume control of the investigation.
At this time, authorities have confirmed that there are no signs of foul play and no indications that the death is suspicious. The cause of the medical emergency remains unclear.
