South Pasadena Hosts Free Dumpster Day for Bulky Item Disposal on May 10

Residents looking to clear out unwanted furniture, appliances, and other bulky items will have the perfect opportunity during South Pasadena’s upcoming Dumpster Day, taking place Saturday, May 10, 2025. The event runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1520 Fremont Avenue.

Organized as a convenient, drive-thru event, Dumpster Day is free for all South Pasadena residents. Attendees are asked to enter the parking lot via Oak Street from Fair Oaks Avenue, as no access will be available from Fremont Avenue.

In an effort to support older residents, the city is also offering a special bulky item pick-up service for seniors from May 5–9. Those interested must reserve a spot by calling the South Pasadena Senior Center at (626) 403-7360 before the May 1 deadline. Space is limited.

Participants unsure about which items are eligible for drop-off are encouraged to contact Athens Customer Service at (888) 336-6100.
