The PUSD welcomes every learner. We apply a concierge approach to our school tours. Whether a new parent or a neighbor curious about changes on the campus, you are a welcomed guest on our tours.

      By Jennifer Hall Lee

You will meet principals, teachers, parents, and students who can tell you about the school.  You will see the PUSD possibilities for students: arts, STEAM, dual language immersion, a math academy, coding, International Baccalaureate, Pasadena City College dual enrollment and more. See the tour schedule for all PUSD schools at pusd.us/schooltours

Every child who lives within PUSD (Altadena, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, and some unincorporated parts of LA County) is guaranteed a seat. Your home school corresponds to your home address.  Find your home school at pusd.us/enroll

Open Enrollment in PUSD means that you can either attend the PUSD school in your neighborhood or enter a lottery for another PUSD school with a program you prefer. Whether you choose your neighborhood school or get your first or second choice in the lottery, you can’t go wrong. Our students get a great education with amazing teachers at every school in the PUSD.

When I entered the lottery for my daughter to attend middle school, we didn’t get our first choice so we enrolled her in our neighborhood school, Eliot Arts Magnet. It worked out wonderfully! Looking back I can’t imagine being anywhere else but Eliot.

Touring schools is a fun part of being in the PUSD. You get to know our dedicated principals, tour our historic campuses, and see how the schools are preparing global citizens for today’s world.  Our schools are where friendships are made, where you can feel that you belong. They’re spaces where every person is appreciated, celebrated, and supported.

The public education system is an American invention that was created to be there for all of us – and at PUSD, you will feel that you belong.
