Originally showcased during the Lunar Lantern Festival, 16 stunning lanterns will be available for public viewing daily, beginning at sunset on February 18. The display is accessible 24/7, allowing everyone to enjoy the brilliant lights at their convenience.
The Lantern Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month in Taiwan, China, and various other Asian countries, marks the grand finale of the Lunar New Year. This cultural event symbolizes reunions, fresh beginnings, and hope under the first full moon of the year.
This year’s celebration in San Gabriel is especially significant, with dazzling lanterns donated by the city’s sister cities in Taiwan.
