Each student heading back to school this week in the City of San Gabriel had the opportunity to receive a free backpack and school supplies.

The event was sponsored by San Gabriel Police Officers Association, Carina Rivera, owner of Pavo Bakery, and the Christian Service Center of Mission San Gabriel.
Mayor John Wu, Vice Mayor Denise Menchaca, and Councilmember Tony Ding helped hand out backpacks and supplies.
