In support of “Light the Night,” a national campaign by the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation, San Gabriel’s fire stations and the historic Mission Playhouse will light up in red from May 1 to May 5 to honor and commemorate the sacrifices of fallen fire heroes in San Gabriel and nationwide.

Lights adorning palm trees along the Mission District of San Gabriel will also shine in shades of red. The tribute will begin on International Firefighters’ Day and continue through the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, May 1-5, 2024 from dusk to dawn.
