At about 9:50 pm, October 25, 2021, Pasadena Police Department officers responded to a “Shots Fired” call on the 1000 block of Summit Avenue.

While officers were establishing the crime scene after observing evidence of a shooting, two males arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The first victim, a 24-year-old male who is a resident of Pasadena, is in critical condition. Also in critical condition is the second victim, a 24-year-old male resident of Altadena. A 30-year-old El Monte resident was present with the victims when they were shot; this person was not injured.
Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit responded to the crime scene to commence immediate follow-up investigation. The suspect(s) and motive are unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
