Maja Trochinczyk
Adorable – as in the French perfume
J’adore – but not the flowery kind
Rather the musky spice
Of your naked body.Gentle, charming, delightful
Fit, boisterous, persistent,
Singing carols out of tune,
With muscles flexing under the smooth skin,
Ready for the home run.
Nice, not naughty, but nice
Through and through.
Maja Trochimczyk, a Polish-born poet, music historian and photographer, has published six books on music and three poetry collections. She especially loves writing love poems, found blooming amidst her books ”Rose Always,” “Miriam’s Iris” and “Slicing the Bread”.

Traci Barlow lives in Birmingham, Alabama. She says: “As we sit on the porch swing under the stars, the smell of wild mint inspires me to write. Across the field a small lake teams with wildlife and a soft bird calls.

Emanuela Nicolova

Haiga photograph and tanka by Emanuela Nicolova.
Emanuela Nicolova lives in Sofia, Bulgaria. Born by the sea, she has spent many sleepless inland nights dreaming of it, yearning for it, listening to its melodies, coming from afar, whispering to her heart. Her poem is a siren’s song she overheard one night.
