Noelle Fong has been named Principal of Marengo Elementary School in South Pasadena.

Noelle Fong has served in public education since 2006. She brings 17 years of experience at Marengo Elementary School, where she has served in many capacities including Behavior and Academic Support Teacher on Special Assignment, Summer Proficiency Coordinator, classroom teacher in first and third grades, and teacher in third grade English Dual Immersion. In addition, Fong helps coordinate the Dual Language Immersion Mandarin Program at Marengo. Her leadership responsibilities in this role include working closely with parents, teachers, and students to ensure the program’s success. She also served as SPEF Elementary Summer School principal for three years.
A collaborative and energetic leader, Fong helped establish a culture of respect, honesty, and trust between students, parents, and staff in her various roles. She spearheaded the social-emotional side of SPUSD’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) including teaching supporting curriculum at every grade level. Her interactions with students have been proactive and positive as she has monitored their diverse behavioral and academic needs. She also has successfully built relationships with educational and community partners and is a team player whose ultimate goal is to foster a positive school environment and build upon the school’s record of excellence.
Fong earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. She will begin her new role as Principal of Marengo Elementary School immediately, filling the position held by Patricia Cheadle, who is now working at the District Office.
