Even in the familiar
the exotic
can be found
when viewed through
a different lens
Chris Wesley is an Altadena, CA resident and believes that the blessing or curse of change is often found in the way we frame it.

a leaf
is changed
by builder’s paint
the wind expands
the fall’s construction sitelearning
from birds and seeds
to push
the walls out
to let the world in
Natalia Rudychev is a dancer, poet, and artist in New York City. She says “I noticed a little sprout on my way to Martha Graham School. I took a picture of it three mornings in a row and it grew stronger every day. And then I started thinking how beautiful it is that through pure faith and instinct seeds and chicks break free out of the comfort of their shells and thus let the world in”.

> The Poetry Corner is hosted by Kathabela Wilson. She, and her husband Rick, are on their way to a a castle in Tomar, Portugal, to attend the “Animusic-Portugal” conference that deals with studying historical musical instruments, especially the flute. Then on to Italy. Both trips should spark some inspirations for future Poetry Corners.
