Carlos Colón was the author of Haiku Elvis: A Life in 17 Syllables (or Less). He had been writing poems for 40 years. He lived in Shreveport, Louisiana and appeared occasionally as the “King” himself. Carlos died suddenly last year and he’s still missed by many who knew him and were touched by his poetry.
