Jonathan Vos Post
beauty overhead
death from above
half-peony, half insurance salesman
the eternal flame
set on simmer
Jonathan Vos Post is a poet, scientist, and artist in Altadena, CA. As such, he is especially astronomically connected to the beauty overhead. He recently presented a paper “Magnetic Mirror Math for Antimatter-Matter Rocket” at The Interplanetary Small Satellite Conference at Caltech.

P.S. Marchand
a cacophony
songs of the dinosaurs
from the tree branches
Little Finch! your grandmother
was a velociraptor
P.S. Marchand is a lawyer and recovering politician who lives in Cathedral City, California. He draws his poetic inspiration from among others, the hummingbirds, the finches and other songbirds who make their homes in the trees around his house. Their 30 millionth grandmothers were indeed velociraptors.

Gerry Jacobson
out there
in the dusty paddock
I lie a-swag
jeweled scorpion overhead
feet in the Milky Way
Gerry Jacobson says he wrote this at a “recent retreat with the Limestone Tanka Poets. An old homestead in the country just out of Canberra, Australia. Convivial dinner. Log fire. Craving the night sky I pick up my sleeping bag, wander outside and find a place to sleep trying to avoid sheep dung. Wake up a few times. Moonset. Later the glow of dawn. When I really wake, the sun is trying to break through. Roll up the swag and wander in for shower and breakfast.”
