Deborah P Kolodji lives in Temple City and moderates the Southern California Haiku Study Group, which meets on 3rd Saturdays at 2 at the Lamanda Park Library. A technical consultant in her “day job,” she finds herself in airports all over the country several times a month.

Kala Ramesh writes and teaches haiku, senryu, tanka, haibun and renku to schoolchildren, undergrads and senior citizens. She lives in Pune, India.

Ajaya Mahala is a haiku poet and photographer from Pune, India, and works as an officer in Indian Revenue Service. He photographed many events at the recent 2016 Triveni World Haiku Utsav*, an international Haiku festival in Pune, organized by Kala Ramesh. (*Utsav is a Sanskrit word meaning festival).

Chen-ou Liu originally from Taiwan, is a celebrated poet and editor who lives in in Ajax,
a suburb of Toronto. He points to “the main theme” of his poem as “a long distance relationship that’s falling apart”.

Tzod Earf (Todd Robinson) lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. He says “This tanka reflects memories about the experience of my first flight to Air Force basic training”.
