A rally on September 21 will protest Poly’s planned development of a private sports complex in the Altadena foothills of the Angeles National Forest.

Organizers say the large-scale project would be environmentally destructive to native wildlife as well as negatively impacting the local communities in the foothills with noise and traffic.
They also claim that the large project was erroneously described by Polytechnic as having community support. The peaceful protest is planned as a reminder that the local community is not in favor of this proposal, and they seek to stop its implementation before Polytechnic is out of escrow on the property. Organized by People Opposing Polyfields, an independent community group, this rally will be held in front of the Polytechnic campus from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Sept. 21, 2024. Attendees are encouraged to wear black. Homemade signs, if desired, should not specifically mention ‘Altadena Wild’.
