Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) has selected first, second, and third-place winners in the 2024 “Water is Life” Art Contest.

Held every year in partnership with the Metropolitan Water District (MWD), the contest is open to all Pasadena students in grades K – 12 who reside within PWP service territory.
Student artists submitted creative artwork with messaging encouraging the community to conserve and use water wisely. Artwork submissions were due in late May 2024. All three winning artworks were submitted to MWD for consideration in their annual Student Art Calendar.
“Congratulations to all winners,” said PWP Interim General Manager David Reyes. “As a community-owned utility, PWP takes pride in empowering local youth about water conservation through educational programs like the ‘Water is Life’ Art Contest.”
The next art contest will open in February 2025 and will conclude in May 2025.
Earlier this year, PWP announced the winners for its 2024 Educational Scholarship. The next scholarship program will open in August 2024 and will conclude in April 2025. Read about the 2024 Educational Scholarship winners at this link.
