Pasadena is filled with scenic vistas, natural beauty, iconic structures, historic sites, and diverse neighborhoods.

In honor of the City’s 135th anniversary on June 19th (Pasadena was incorporated on that date in 1886), Pasadena Museum of History launched a wide-ranging, multi-year initiative to encourage residents and visitors alike to explore the region through varied offerings and discover the stories behind the people, places, and things that have created this unique community.
Exploring Pasadena Initiative
The project, Exploring Pasadena, is a first of many ways for people to discover aspects of Pasadena history. It includes visual and aural presentations, guided tours, participatory games, unique lectures, hands-on workshops, and more. (All offerings and ticketing information are featured on the PMH website’s Events page).
The first event in the Exploring Pasadena initiative is scheduled for Saturday, July 17:
Walking Tour: Families of Orange Grove Boulevard & the Artists, Bohemians, and Craftsmen of the Arroyo

Over time, this area attracted many interesting people, from well known families along Orange Grove Boulevard’s “Millionaires’ Row” to a wide array of artists and craftsmen who settled down the hill. Join Julia Long of Pasadena Walking Tours on this 2-hour journey to learn more about these areas and the fascinating people who called this place home.
(This walking tour will involve a steep incline at times).
