The City of Pasadena will host a Public Information Meeting on Thursday, November 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at La Casita Del Arroyo (177 S. Arroyo Blvd.) to discuss the environmental review process for the Brookside Park Stormwater Capture Project.
By News Desk
As the lead agency, the City will present details on the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) prepared under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the project, offer input on the scope of issues the IS/MND should address, and speak with City staff and consultants.
Attendees will be able to:
- Hear a presentation on the project’s progress and next steps.
- Learn about the CEQA IS/MND process.
- Connect with staff and the project team to understand how the initiative will capture and treat stormwater at the site.
The Brookside Park Stormwater Capture Project is proposed within the Rose Bowl Lot I parking lot, located southeast of Seco Street and North Arroyo Boulevard at 360 N. Arroyo Blvd. The project is designed to improve water quality by capturing and treating stormwater and dry-weather runoff from northwest Pasadena. Water will be directed into a subsurface infiltration gallery, while above-ground features will provide enage.
This initiative will help Pasadena meet critical water quality compliance goals for the Arroyo Seco and Los Angeles River, while also increasing water supply for the Raymond Basin.
Led by the City’s Department of Public Works, the project is being developed in collaboration with Pasadena residents and stakeholders through public outreach activities.
