Seniors in the community are invited to a free seminar on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10:00 am at the Pasadena Senior Center to learn how to protect themselves from home improvement and construction scams.

The Senior Scam Stopper presentation, hosted by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) in partnership with the Assistance League of Pasadena, will provide practical tips and resources for older adults. Participants will learn what to know before hiring a contractor, the right questions to ask home improvement companies, and how to be informed consumers. The CSLB operates under the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
The program will conclude with an open Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to raise specific concerns.
Registration is available for both in-person and Zoom attendance. Although the seminar is free, reservations are recommended. For more information or to register, visit pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Lectures & Classes → Workshops, or call 626-795-4331.
