The Rent Stabilization Department is continuing its Monthly Workshop Series with an upcoming session focused on Just Cause Protections.
By News Desk
This workshop will provide valuable information for both tenants and landlords about the legal framework for ending tenancies under Pasadena’s Rent Stabilization Charter Amendment.
Topics Covered
- Legal Grounds for Eviction:
Learn what qualifies as “just cause” for eviction under Pasadena’s local laws. - Required Actions:
Understand the necessary steps landlords must follow when terminating a tenancy. - Relocation Assistance:
Discover when relocation benefits are required, how tenants qualify, and how relocation amounts are determined. In partnership with Interwest Consulting Group, the City is enhancing relocation services for residents impacted by no-fault evictions or significant rent increases.
This workshop offers an important opportunity for the community to clarify the eviction process and understand the rights and responsibilities of both tenants and landlords under local law. Staff from the Rent Stabilization Department will be available to answer questions and provide additional resources.
