The annual Pasadena Obon festival is coming to town on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21.
The festival will feature food, crafts, games, cultural exhibits and demonstrations for two nights. Each evening, dancers from around the Southland gather around the yagura and dance the traditional Obon Odori (dances). Dancing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm each evening. Obon odori, dance for joy, is an invitation for everyone to join in dancing and be accepted as they are.
