After a period of uncertainty due to the Eaton Fire, Pasadena Humane is set to resume pet adoptions on Monday, February 10. This marks a significant step in recovery as nearly 60 cats and dogs, many of which were displaced by the fire, are now available for adoption and are eager to find their forever homes.

Prospective adopters can visit Pasadena Humane from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, where they will be asked to join a virtual queue for a chance to meet their new furry companions. Those interested in adopting can view the shelter’s website or photo board to browse the available animals. Once they select a pet, an adoption counselor will connect with them to discuss the adoption process.
Due to time constraints, each adopter will be limited to meeting two animals during their visit. Additionally, because of the large number of pets being boarded due to fire-related evacuations, potential adopters will not be allowed to walk through the kennels. Instead, dogs will be brought to a designated “meet and greet space,” and cats will be available for a front-of-kennel meet and greet.
Given the high volume of interest, Pasadena Humane encourages potential adopters to be patient as they navigate the new adoption procedures.
