Does your pet have what it takes to be Pasadena Humane’s Next Top Model?
By News Desk
Pet parents are encouraged to submit their pets’ best photo for Pasadena Humane’s annual calendar contest. Twelve lucky pet parents will have their fur babies adorn the pages of the 2025 Pasadena Humane calendar.
Winners will be decided by popular vote. Pets can be entered into one of three categories: dogs, cats and “other pets.” The three top vote-getters in each category will be the featured photo for one month of the 2025 calendar. Three “Judge’s Choice” pets will round out the remaining months, so every pet entered has a chance at fame. Shelter officials expect the competition to be fierce- the 2024 contest featured 192 entries and the top vote-getter cat, Federer, received over 7,000 votes. The competition raised nearly $40,000 for pets in the community.
Dia DuVernet, Pasadena Humane’s President and CEO, said:
Our annual calendar contest is one of our favorite fundraisers. There are so many adorable pets and amazing photos. The best part is that it all benefits the pets in our care. It’s truly a win/win.”
The 2025 calendar is powered by Petco Love, a national nonprofit leading change for pets by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Their $10,000 calendar sponsorship will support Pasadena Humane’s programs and services for pets in the Greater Los Angeles area.
The 2025 calendar photo contest will close on June 30. There is a $25 entry fee for each photo, and members of the public can cast votes for $1 per vote. To enter your pet and vote online, go to pasadenahumane.org/25calendar.
