The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department will hold a grand opening ceremony for the newly constructed Viña Vieja Park Pickleball Courts on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at 9:00 am at 3026 E. Orange Grove Blvd.

The ceremony will include refreshments and statements from dignitaries and project leaders. Members of the USA Pickleball Ambassadors will be providing demonstrations and brief instruction to anyone interested in learning to play pickleball.
New developments include:
- the installation of three adaptive/wheelchair accessible pickleball courts;
- fencing,
- benches,
- trash receptacles;
- planting and irrigation;
- expansion of the existing parking lot to add 14 parking spaces.

These are nice courts with good space behind the baselines and sidelines (for ATPs and ERNEs!!).
Hopefully, they will make the fences higher so you don’t lose balls into inaccessible areas. Some shade and a closer restroom would be awfully nice too.
Rumors say that they may eventually add another NINE courts! Terrific!!
