Reports indicate that Governor Gavin Newsom’s office intends to lift regional “stay-at-home” orders. With its own Public Health Department, the City of Pasadena is weighing its options.

A statewide lockdown was triggered when the ICU availability rose above the 15% threshold. If the Governor lifts the statewide “stay at home” order, L.A. County will move back to its tiered system. As Pasadena has its own Health Department, it is free to make its own assessment.
California’s ICU availability is again projected to rise above the 15% threshold. Lisa Derderian, Pasadena public information officer, said that the city is “still assessing but intent is to open outdoor dining,” according to an email to ColoradoBOulevard.net.
On Sunday, Jan. 24, Pasadena had 9776 confirmed Cases, with 544 new cases for the week, and a total of 226 deaths, with 35 additional deaths last week.
