The City of Pasadena has officially declared February 25 as “The Big Bang Theory Day,” as the show celebrates the milestone of reaching 200 episodes.

Executive producers of the popular show, Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Bill Prad, released a joint statement about Pasadena’s announcement:
For 200 episodes, The Big Bang Theory has called Pasadena home. Even though we tape the show just down the road at Warner Bros., we’re honored that the city of Pasadena, which has given so much to our characters and our stories, has once again proved itself to be a true inspiration.
On Saturday, Feb. 20, Pasadena Councilmember Andy Wilson read the proclamation on behalf of Mayor Terry Tornek:

The Saturday evening event was attended by Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Wolowitz), and producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Bill Prady.
