Pasadena City Hall and many city services and administrative business offices will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
The Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services, but not business or administrative offices.
- For any life-threatening emergencies, always remember to call 9-1-1. Remember, “If You See Something, Say Something” by calling police to help keep us all safe.
The City Council will not meet on Monday, Sept. 2nd.
- The next regularly scheduled meeting will be Monday, Sept. 9th at City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave.
Pasadena residents and businesses with any power emergencies should call the Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) Department at (626) 744-4673 and for water-related emergencies call (626) 744-4138.
- PWP’s regular Customer Call Center will be closed, but customers can access their accounts and pay bills online or by calling (626) 744-4005.
The City’s Municipal Services Payment Center at City Hall will be closed, as will the Parking Office, for citation payments, at 221 E. Walnut St. The Pasadena Public Health Department’s Travel and Immunization Clinic will be closed as well.
- The Citizen Service Center will be closed Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day, but resumes regular hours Sept. 3.
During the week of Sept. 2, refuse and recycling service will be postponed one day.
- Monday pickup service will be on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, Wednesday pickup on Thursday, Thursday service on Friday and Friday pickup on Saturday. There will be no bulky item pickups on Saturday.
The City’s ARTS (Area Rapid Transit Service) and Dial-A-Ride transportation programs will not operate on Labor Day but will resume normal service again on Sept. 4.
Monday is free parking day
- All parking meters are free and parking time limits will not be enforced on Sept. 2; however, violations for red curb parking, blocking fire hydrants and overnight parking will continue to be issued.
All Pasadena Public Library sites will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2, with normal hours resuming Tues, Sept. 3.
- All Community Centers operated by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department will be closed, but all parks will be open for picnics, fun and play. No site reservations are accepted for the holiday.
