In observance of Lincoln’s and Washington’s Birthdays, Pasadena City Hall and many city services will be closed on Wednesday, February 12, and Monday, February 17.

      By News Desk

Below are key closures and service updates:

      CSC and PWP

      • The City Service Center (CSC) will operate on Wednesday, February 12, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, but will be closed on Monday, February 17, reopening on Tuesday, February 18 at 8:00 am. Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will continue as scheduled, with no delays.
      • For power emergencies, residents should call Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) at (626) 744-4673. Water-related emergencies should be directed to (626) 744-4138. PWP’s Customer Service Call Center will be closed both holidays. However, customers can still manage accounts and make payments via the automated phone system at (626) 744-4005 or online.

      Parking, Housing, Permits

      • The Municipal Services Payment Center and Parking Office will be closed on both holidays. All parking meters will be free, and time limits will not be enforced. Violations for overnight parking restrictions, red curb parking, and fire hydrant obstructions will still be issued. Parking meter enforcement will resume on Thursday, February 13 and Tuesday, February 18. Pasadena Transit and Dial-A-Ride will operate on their regular schedules.
      • The Housing Department will be closed on both holidays, and the Permit Center will be closed, though many services are available online. In-person services will resume on Thursday, February 13, and Tuesday, February 18.

      Library branches and Parks

      • Pasadena Public Library branches will be closed on Wednesday, February 12, reopening on Thursday, February 13. They will also be closed on Sunday and Monday, February 16 and 17, and reopen Tuesday, February 18.
      • All parks will remain open, though no site reservations will be accepted. Community and recreation centers will be closed.

      Health Department, Council, Fisrt responders

      • The Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) will be closed on both holidays, with upcoming vaccine clinics scheduled for February 19 and 24. (PPHD reminds the community to mask indoors, get vaccinated, and stay home if feeling sick).
      • The City Council will not meet on Monday, February 17. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 24.
      • Emergency services from the Pasadena Fire and Police Departments will remain available, with non-emergency inquiries directed to the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241. For life-threatening emergencies, call 9-1-1.

Residents need to plan accordingly for these city service changes and holiday closures.
