Notice has been given for the City’s Primary Municipal Election to be held on March 5, 2024.

Candidates may receive and circulate nomination petitions to gather signatures of registered voters in order to place their names on the March 5th ballot for the Office of Mayor (elected citywide) for a full four-year term or for Members of the City Council for Districts 1, 2, 4, and 6, each for a full four-year term. In addition, the office for Member of the City Council District 3 will be held as a Special Election to fill the remaining two years of the four-year term for that seat on the City Council.
The official nomination period opens on Monday, November 13, 2023 and closes Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at 5:30 pm, The City Clerk’s Office will be issuing nomination papers during that period to qualified candidates.
Candidate Workshops
Two identical Candidate Workshops will be conducted by the City Clerk at Pasadena City Hall, 100 North Garfield Avenue:
- Monday, Nov. 13 at 8:00 am, in the Council Chamber, Room S249
- Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 pm. in the City Hall Grand Conference Room, Room S038.
Election information is available online or by calling the City Clerk’s Office at (626) 744-4124 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. The webpage will be updated periodically with candidate nomination information.
Do you need to register to vote?
Voter registration information is available at City Hall Offices, public libraries, post offices, as well as online at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. The deadline to register to vote for the March 2024 Primary Municipal Election is Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
