In the wake of the devastating Eaton Canyon fire, Odyssey Charter Schools turned tragedy into a powerful display of resilience and community spirit with the return of its cherished event: HomeRUN For Odyssey.

Held on Friday, May 30, at Eaton Blanche Park in Pasadena, the annual Run-for-Fun event took on new meaning this year. No longer just a celebration of physical activity and school pride, the event served as a rallying point for recovery, raising critical funds to restore enrichment programs lost in the fire’s aftermath.
Students, families, staff, and community members came together under sunny skies to run, cheer, and give back. With every lap around the field, participants contributed to rebuilding Odyssey’s signature programs in music, arts, field trips, and hands-on learning—essential elements that define the Odyssey experience.
“While many families are still picking up the pieces, our school stands strong in the belief that our children deserve joy, opportunity and a sense of normalcy,” said Sylvia Corona, Director of Education. “This event reminds us that together, we can rebuild something even better.”
The day was not only a fundraiser but also a symbol of unity and hope. With banners waving and cheers echoing across the park, the HomeRUN demonstrated that community spirit can triumph over hardship.
