– Movies in the Park
There is only one more chance for you to grab your lawn chair, pack a cooler of food, and bring your family out to watch an animated film thanks to Pasadena’s Movies in the Park. This past Friday the movie was Migration, a 2023 animated adventure comedy that follows a family of ducks as they leave their home in New England for a vacation to Jamaica, only to end up lost in New York City. Next Friday’s family friendly movie (and the last movie of the summer) will be Wish, a Disney animated film.
The City of Pasadena provides a food stand with movie snacks, and booths which offer parents information on citywide services and provide kids with numerous fun activities. Pre-show music keeps the crowd energized and enthused with families dancing to popular modern pop music.
Overall, Pasadena’s Movies in the Park should be on every family’s to-do lists for next Friday and next summer when we hope it will return with brand-new animated films.
– Jazz Night
At Lyd and Mo’s Photography Studio, on every first Friday of the month, you can find a relaxing and thrilling night of jazz music hosted by Jason Luckett and his revolving door of musical guests.
Recently, Luckett was joined by music guests Alison Lewis, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Jeanne Newhall, and the Pincus Ladies. All who attended enjoyed hearing the works of Luckett performed live.
Jazz Night at Lyd and Mo Photography should be your first-choice destination if you want a relaxing and uplifting addition to your Friday night plans. Located at 27 North Mentor, right across the street from The Ice House, the small studio delivers big with talented and professional musicians who will inspire you with their rhythmic and improvisational music.
