Applications are now being accepted from Monterey Park residents for upcoming vacancies on the five-member Board of Trustees for the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library.

Under Municipal Code 2.80.050, the five-member Library Board enforces all rules, regulations, and bylaws necessary for the administration, government, and protection of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, located at 318 S. Ramona Avenue in Monterey Park.
The Board meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Friends Room of the Library. Meetings are about one hour long. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed.
Trustees are appointed for three-year terms and applicants must be City of Monterey Park residents. Applicants are interviewed and appointed by the City Council. Trustees do not receive any compensation and can be reappointed for another consecutive three-year term by the City Council when their first term expires.
