The applicant for a proposed data center at 1977 Saturn requested on December 19 that the City of Monterey Park postpone its public hearing on the project. A new date for the hearing has not yet been selected.

In a letter to the City, the applicant asked that the City Council table consideration of the project, stating that the next step will be to work with the City to provide adequate public notice regarding the date and location of a community meeting.
As a result of the request, the item will not be heard at the January 21, 2026 City Council meeting. Community meetings hosted by the applicant are anticipated and will be announced at a later date.
When the item is rescheduled, the public hearing will be noticed and an agenda will be posted on the Public Meetings page of the City’s website. All publicly available documents related to the proposed data center project are available on the City of Monterey Park’s website.
