Monterey Park will celebrate American Independence Day on Saturday, June 29.

This community event features live entertainment at the Barnes Park Amphitheater. The annual celebration concludes with a free firework show at 9:00 pm. The fireworks fallout zone includes surrounding streets (McPherrin, Harding, and Ramona Avenues) which will be closed from 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

Firework Reminders

Fireworks are not allowed at any time in any park. Only Safe and Sane fireworks are legal in Monterey Park, and only allowed on July 4 from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm. Illegal fireworks use and sales can be reported to the MPPD non-emergency line at 626-573-1311.
