Applications are being accepted for an upcoming vacancy on the five-member Board of Trustees for the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library.

The five-member Library Board is responsible for enforcing all rules, regulations, and bylaws necessary for the administration, governance, and protection of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, located at 318 S. Ramona Avenue in Monterey Park.
The Board meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Friends Room of the Library. Meetings typically last about one hour. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed.
Trustees are appointed for a three-year term. Applicants must be residents of the City of Monterey Park. Interviews and appointments are conducted by the City Council. Trustees do not receive compensation but may be reappointed for another consecutive three-year term upon the expiration of their first term.
