Monrovia Canyon Park is ready to welcome visitors starting Monday, August 30.
By News Desk
Since last September when the Bobcat Fire burned hundreds of acres in Monrovia, including Monrovia Canyon Park, the facility has been closed to the public.
Staff and volunteers have worked diligently to repair trails, clear fallen trees, paint facilities and aid in regrowth. The community at large is invited to enjoy all hiking trails, including the Waterfall Trail, Nature Trail, Bill Cull Trail, Cunningham Overlook Trail, and the Ben Overturff Trail!
In a press release to the community, the city stated, “Our Park may look different, but it’s still a gem in our community!” For the time being, Monrovia Canyon Park will be open to visitors by reservations only. Reservations will be open on August 23. More information on making a reservation is available at the City’s website. Monrovia Canyon Park will be closed to vehicles on Tuesdays for routine maintenance, but still accessible for walking/biking.
The Park has been closed since September of last year, when the Bobcat Fire burned 115,796 acres in and around the Angeles National Forest.
Hours of Operation Sunday - Saturday 6:30 am - 6 pm.
